After Kangana Ranaut Receives 'Y' Level Security By Centre Maha Home Minister Says: 'It Is Surprising And Sad'
Kangana Ranaut's spat with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and her comparing Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) remarks led to a huge controversy. After which she even received threats from Shiv Sena and Raut even called her 'haramkhor.' However, Kangana ensured to hit him back by sharing a video where she expressed that she has freedom of expression and also raised questions on why Aamir Khan or Naseeruddin Shah were not called the same. Apart from Sanjay Raut, Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh also said that Kangana has no right to come back to the city. Now, the latest update stated that Anil Deshmukh seemed to be a little disappointed with the Centre who has granted Y category security to the Panga actress.

Amidst the severe backlash, the centre has decided to accord Ranaut Y category security in view of threats. (in case people are unaware of it - Y category is a security detail of 11 personnel, including 1 or 2 commandos and police personnel) While talking to the media, Anil expressed his surprise and sadness to see people who have insulted Mumbai and Maharashtra are given 'Y' level security by the centre. He was quoted saying by ANI, "It is surprising and sad that those who insult Mumbai and Maharashtra, are being given 'Y' level security by the centre. Maharashtra is not only of NCP, Shiv Sena or Congress but of BJP & the public too. People of all party should condemn it if one insults Maharashtra."

Reacting to the development, Ranaut thanked Home Minister Amit Shah in a tweet where she said that Amit Shah would have advised her to visit Mumbai after a few days considering the current situation, but he 'honoured the words of a daughter of the country and her self-respect.' Her tweet read, "This is proof that no fascist will be able to crush a patriotic voice.”
